Established in 1987, Headford Road Car Dismantlers is one of the leading vehicle dismantlers and recycled parts suppliers in the West of Ireland. The company operates from a purpose built 6 acre site on the Headford Road just minutes from Galway City and is a fully licensed end of life vehicle treatment facility.

Vehicles for dismantling are sourced from all over Ireland, with many purchased from leading insurance companies. These include all makes and models of cars, vans and 4x4s. We purchase all types of end of life vehicle, uneconomical repairs, NCT failures and damaged repairables. Vehicle collection can be arranged nationwide using our own recovery vehicles. We will generally have on site up to 1500 vehicles, with new stock arriving on a daily basis.

Once on site, fluids are removed from vehicles in an advanced depollution bay. They are then expertly dismantled with parts suitable for recycling removed. The reminder of the vehicle is then crushed and bailed, using an on-site bailer to create metal bales suitable for recycling. As a fully Authorised Treatment Facility, the whole process conforms to the most stringent EU and Irish dismantling regulations. The company is also a member of ELVES, the End-of-Life Vehicle compliance scheme and a member of Repak. We are also fully compliant with tyre recycling standards.
