I believe the lineage of yoga was passed down from teacher to teacher so we can use these tools to help us become better human beings. Sounds way too lofty and out there doesn’t it? But becoming more empowered and learning how to bring your attention to the present moment can transform your life. The practice challenges you to have radical acceptance towards yourself and cultivate compassion for yourself and others. This is not an overnight journey. Happiness is our true birth right but attaining it is difficult if we constantly strive to rely on external conditions to bring us joy. These practices help you cultivate inner resilience and reveal to you that we all have ‘buddha nature’ or as others might say a sense of belonging in this world.
