BPG3 specialises in the assessment of natural light levels in the built environment. Over the past ten years we have gained a deep understanding of the engineering principles and planning standards which apply in the field of natural light. As independent consultants we produce objectively verifiable quantifications of the skylight, sunlight, solar and internal daylight levels which can be expected in a variety of different situations. One of our key competencies in this respect is our ability to assess the impact which new developments will have on neighbouring properties. By assessing these impacts against recognised standards and norms, BPG3 is able to provide planning authorities, developers, and individual property owners, with a scientific basis on which to make informed value judgements.
